ISTSE: Indian School Talent Search Exam
It is India’s one of the most prestigious exams organized as an olympiad by India Talent Olympiad for school students from class 1 to class 10. As its name suggests, this ISTSE is organized to find hidden talent in School children. This exam is designed to examine the overall intelligence of students from classes 1 to 10. ISTSE is a scientifically developed, skill-based examination test to get the strengths and weaknesses of individual students.
In this exam, conceptual exam multiple choice questions are asked to check how well the skills and concepts underlying the school syllabus students understand.
The ISTSE is a single paper test open to all students for classes 1 to 10. The question paper comprises five sections (for Online students 6 Sections). These sections are Mental ability and logical reasoning, Mathematics, Science, English Language and Grammar, and the Scholar section. Students who take exams online have added one more section, which is Fairplay and Practice.
After conduction of the written examination, a 30-minute interview will be conducted with the top ten mark holder to decide the rank.
A student can take the ISTSE exam through school or direct. Both exams are conducted separately. The syllabus of these exams is the same as the syllabus of Class 6 to 10 CBSE and ICSE Boards. To prepare for these students should solve a lot of Olympiad Questions.

The ISTSE Olympiad is a single-paper test open to all students of Classes 1 to 10. The question paper will comprise five sections (6 sections for direct students) that include Mental and Logical Ability, Mathematics, Science, and English questions. ISTSE Exam is conducted online for direct/individual candidates and paper-based only through schools. ISTSE – Paper Based (Only through schools): Paper-based ISTSE Exam is conducted only through schools. Students must fill out the form in the school, and the exam will be completed inside the school.

Indian Schools Talent Search Exam is conducted online and offline on different dates. The online exam is conducted for those students whose school is not participating in this competition. It’s called Direct ISTSE Exam.
Can I participate in Olympiad without school?
Yes. You can give ISTSE Olympiad conducted by Educational Excellentia by directly registering on its website.
Is Olympiad more challenging than JEE Main?
The answer can be different from person to person. From my point of view, JEE is much more challenging than the Olympiad. The reason is, competition, JEE exam is given more than 10 Lakh students that’s why paper settler will have to make it difficult to select best of the best students.
